Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Nomination
Nomination Details
The Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award will be awarded to one deserving student nominated from each high school across the United States and Internationally who embodies the spirit of Rachel Carson in their dedication to sustainability and community development.
Winners of the Rachel Carson Healthy Planet Award receive:
• A special edition of Silent Spring—Rachel Carson’s groundbreaking book that helped launch the modern environmental movement
• A $2,500 merit scholarship to Chatham University (renewable annually for up to 4 years or 120 credits)
• A Certificate of Achievement to commemorate the student's commitment and bolster their resume
Nominations for current high school juniors need to be submitted by JULY 1.
Eligible students must be nominated by a teacher, school counselor or faculty advisor.
